  Thought on “0 hours” reporting

  so everyone knows the “big news” of this past weekend, no more reporting of hours, placements, return visits, etc.

  beginning november 1, jws just tick a box indicating whether they “shared in any form of the ministry during the month”.. so there was a brief comment by a redditor that seems like a brief joke “throwaway comment” but after thinking about it….why not?.

  the idea is, what is “any form of the ministry”?

  how many remember when the wts changed their policy on alternative service; changed it to alternative civilian service so jw men could choose it because it was not supervised by the military.

  shows how the wts quibbles with words to advance a "new teaching.

  Thats because its NOT there. The Borg needs all its $heeples thinking and acting alike.

  I don't know if you follow Owen on his Telltale channel. He illustrated how the Borg can't afford to have political divisions. The Borg needs all its members to think and act all the same. By prohibiting voting and keeping the $heeples from forming political views,,,the Borg can mold and make the members think and act all alike.

  No political views,,no opinions,,,the Borg always preaches.........you guessed. UNITY.

  They spout it all the time.

  with the change to reporting field service and now allowing people to repent during the gt, presumably up until armageddon, i'm assuming that the "hailstones" message is now permanently on hold.

  can someone explain this to me; am i understanding this right?.

  the gb raise questions then talk about it, unless it’s unanimous they wait, then years later talk again if it’s unanimous it then gets announced as new light.. 2. the gb are imperfect and sometimes make mistakes.

  there have been only a handful of occasions where a jehovah’s witness has successfully engaged me in respectable conversation with mutual respect.

  one such person started off like this and (unfortunately) has become an angry little man over the years.

  That's where the cognitive dissonance kicks in. Because of fear from being found out by the elders & disciplined or from realizing that perhaps they could be wrong.

  In Crisis of Conscience the 2018 edition.

  It illustrates this also. As recent as 1996, I believe a 2/3 majority vote on things was the practise. If I"m not mistaken it occurred when a couple of GB members couldn't make up their minds of things. But when certain dudes on the GB put up their hands,,,the indecisive ones voted on things with the more popular GB members.

  Which in turn would effect the lives of rank and file JW's tremendously. In matters relating to alternative or military service.

  Try that on for size.. How about a criminal record now? For not accepting alternative military service,,going to jail for it and you can't get a job, because you have a criminal record.

  Because some guys in New York were indecisive on voting on things.

  am i being mean, thinking that travelling overseers should get a part-time job like paul did, in order to not be a burden to the congregation?

  i wouldn't put my hand up when we were asked to raise it if we were happy to give £50 from congregation funds to the c.o.

  so that he could take his wife out for a meal.

  It's hard to imagine how they could back-peddle from this, ,, should the Borg if/when promote a ''kindler,gentler'' religion.

  My guess is the onlly time this would/could take place if the Borg is going bankrupt and has no choice,,,but in a hail-marry attempt to retain membership.

  just a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.

  a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?

  maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?
